3 of 4 in the books.

Thanks for the tip on the paper! I've been meaning to ask. I probably do 2 completes like this a year. Most of my stuff is done in pieces.

Last coat coming up shortly.

Got a few panels down to 3000. Buffed a small section to see it so I could get motivated.

Should have the car done tomorrow sometime. Then ill paint the remaining pieces.

panels? all I see is a mirror. Looks nice and flat, wet, and glossy!

Thanks. I dont know why but I hate sanding and polishing. I always push thorugh my shitty attitude when doing it and I get it done. I think I prefer blocking primer with 80 grit over clear with 1500, lol. I would love to be a fly on the wall when Jeremy is polishing one of his completes to see how many hours he has into it and how he gets through them.

This car I went from 800 - 1000 - 1500 - 3000 trizacs.

coffee/energy drinks...

LOL.

Looks great! Man do I love black when it is cut flat and buffed out.

And to think, there are certain people on other forums who say there is no difference in cutting with 1500 and starting with 800 and working your way up.

Sorry, but you don't get a flat, mirror finish like that by just cutting with 1500 on a da and using superduty to buff.

I think with that last line I know EXACTLY who you are referring to, lol. not PPG, but OldDupont?? Am I close?

I've never had any luck even getting peel out by hand with 1500, with a DA yes but it wasnt close to mirror flat. Just for Daily driver stuff.

I know why I hate sanding and polishing....because it sucks. And with black you get away with nothing.
But look at the nice results.

Finally got this boat pushed outside. Still have 2 more rounds of painting to finish up the small pieces.

Looks nice! what are you going to do when everyone and their brother wants you to do their car? And when the job still looks good 20 years from now there will be even more people knocking on your door.

Well this is kind of a full time second job the past few years, but I have to admit its a double edged sword. I have a stressful desk job all day and I have 3 kids so these big projects are getting exhausting. I have one more complete after this. Then its back to fun little jobs. Golf carts and things like that. Just enough to get my fix!

And maybe. Just maybe ill finish my car!

Thank you for the compliments! It make a garage hack feel good with the pros say something nice!

If this job looks good in 20 years I'm going to personally call a few people up and tell them to "fuck off, SPI rules" for all the shit I get for using these wonderful products.

OJ that is bad ass brother.. Proof is in the pudding.. and that puddin is nice!!
