Best of paint!!!

I was just told by our jobber in CA, the SPI took best of paint in the "Knott Berry Farm show".

I don't know the make of car or anything yet but pictures are coming and ABRN is doing pictures and write up for next edition.

Nothing unusual about us winning BUT, it was with the 5100 clear our 2:1 version of the Euro clear.

There will also be seven cars we know of, at SEMA with the 4100 universal 2:1 VOC clear on it.

Also this month so far 19 cars have been done for movies with the 4100 clear for different, movie cars, a new account for us.

We are just proud as can be. of our 2:1 clears, we have worked hard to make them the best we can and I assure you, we are not finished with minor fine tuning of these clears, as being only the best will work for us and we will get there!

We just don't want to be like other companies, that throw crap out there and then, when sales go down they take the same crap and put in a different label can and call it new, improved and best for suntanning, Makes you want to puke, what you hear and see out there today but we will be different.

Trust me, we won't be moving there soon!

About three weeks ago Andy spent the whole week in San Fran working shops with our jobber out there, what an education he got and what an education I got as far as what the product is doing or not doing.

I thought this was just going to be a PR thing for our jobber there that has done such a good job but within three days of Andy getting back I had made another activator for the 5100 and the 4100 clears.

This was so educational, I'm sending James (what he gets for pissing me off. LOL) out to LA to work with our jobber there in the real near future.

For years the paint companies just dumped a 2:1 clear in that market and most of them were crap, now the competition is greater out there and with possible new VOC rules coming down the road, smaller companies are really putting some effort in the 2:1 clears and some of these bigger boys are hurting and behind the eight ball.

We want all the info we can get because what we have learned the only real competition we have in the 100 or so body shops Andy was in is the PPG, ends with a #10 for big bucks at that.
We will continue to fine tune, activators, like we did, to meet the 55-60 degrees in San Fran and yet work in the 110 degrees of LA, so when the rule comes for rest of us, we will have our clears child-proof by then.

I painted the T-Tops and a fender skirt for the 57 T-Bird outside today, so I would not have to cover up the vette and all the wiring harnesses scattered on the floor, all three turnout great as it was about 70 and sunny but last coat of clear, when I came back from cleaning my gun, a Nat had landed in the corner of the T-top.
I just watched him do a slow death as it served him right but now we need to figure out an additive to keep bugs and cats away from fresh clear.

Barry, that would be an awesome additive if you could figure it out. A bug repellent!

Bugs....UGH~~~~~

Congrats Barry.. You guys deserve to be recognized for all your years of hard work and dedication.. Proof is in the pudding I say.. Im not surprised about that car having the 2.1 Euro on it either brother.. Man I love that clear!!!!
