Hello all,
Iam embarassed to ask but here goes..
This is my first full blown base coat job. Started 9 months ago using all SPI products. Sanded to bare metal, used epoxy and 2 k primer (spi).
After shooting base Nov 10th (SPI 2011 white). I had an area with a run so I asked here and Barry said it was ok to wet sand as long as the body was not in direct sun. I accidently sanded to metal, so I mixed up some epoxy and shot the area, I had some left over so I decided to shoot the rockers and door bottoms. After letting it cure, I shot the base again...The edges where the epoxy meets the old base wrinkled, I blamed the epoxy so I sanded it off and shot the areas with 2k primer. After letting it sit, I shot the base again and again the same problem, the wrinkles only seem to appear at the edges where the primer meets the old base. I tried different gun setting, different ratios of reducer( SPI very slow),different air pressures, different SPI Wax removers, different hoses I dont believe it is contamination...Did I wait too long to reshoot the base? I hope I dont have reprime and reshot base. What can I do...I was so close to shooting the SPI Clear!

Here are some pics of the wrinkles:
So close to finishing...I also activated the base
