This is a plastic window for a skid steer owned by a friend of ours. It was so fogged you could not see through it.
Sanded both sides with 400 da, cleaned with 710 shot two coats 2100.
30 mins start to finish.

the 2100 clear is the only spi product i think i have never tried. i placed an order yesterday and managed to get some speed clear but if you were out i was going to give it a try. i should probably give it a shot anyway just to try it out.

Exactly!!
The first guy to do headlights was a business down the street from our old building 16 to 18 years ago.
It turned into a full-time three-person business inside of a year.
320 clean with 700 and 2 coats universal; last I talked to him was about a year ago and never a comeback.
His deal, the dealer removes lights, he picks up, and delivers the next day.
So simple

i have done tons of head and taillights. the coarser the grit the more hazy the lens will look. i would start with 320 to strip the anti scratch off the ploycarb then i would refine with 600 then clear them. you can go as high as 800 and they will be clearer but the finer you go the more chance you have with the clear peeling down the road. 1000 and 1200 grit and i have had the clear peel after about 2-3 years on a daily driver. 600 grit seems to be the good compromise between clarity and adhesion

I'll have to try it one something again. I always had issues with a hazy look with anything courser than 1000.

Barry, I see you have the shelves well stocked for your side jobs.:p
Lol, batch retentions. The bad part is all the headlights the employees do or this skid window we do all for free, but I encourage it as I feel the more they know about painting, the better they can handle the phones.

We have hired two new guys for manufacturing this year, and one guy came from 22 years with the county and had a new steel bumper for an old jeep, so I taught him how to adjust gun and shoot black Single-stage.
When done, he was so excited he could not stand himself.
It's a great feeling.
