Air Pressure Issues....

Hey guys, steer me in the right direction here :
I've got a Devilbiss HVLP Finishline 3 that I've used quite a few times over past 5 years. I've recently started a new paint project and went to get the gun out of the cabinet, and come to find out that using the regulator on the gun will only let me adjust the inlet pressure to a max of 23 psi - which just happens to be the correct pressure to yield ~10 psi at the cap. Compressor set at 120 psi, no blocked / kinked lines, tried a different regulator and had the same 23psi max results - pointing to something clogged in the gun itself possibly. I did go ahead and spray some epoxy, and it sprayed fine. Anyone have any tips here? Thanks in advance.

I have a gti milleniem and had the same problem twice. I changed the baffle seal once and the baffle and the seal once and i coul'd get the pressure up to 30psi after changing them. I went to use it a few weeks ago and had the same problem, I gave up and bought an iwata just have got to use it yet. The gti is about 8years old so i can't complain it's bein pretty good.

curt, the iwata is a different animal, I bet you'll be impressed. LPH400?

I sure hope so i've bein kickin a dead horse for a while, so far just using spi products have made everything twice a easy as before.Looking forward to spraying some universal clear with the iwata lph 400.

If you have any troubles dialing it in there's plenty of people here using that gun with UV clear that can offer up their settings they like. The spray distance to panel is less than other guns but the fan is wide so coverage is good.
