About those peanuts you all love....

Just an FYI to let you guys know we tried using biodegradable peanuts that dissolve in water vs our old school peanuts but they simply won't work with our heavy liquid products.

Immediately upon trying our first bag, we found out these 'green' peanuts not only collapse under the weight of our heavy gallons, but they stay compressed never again regaining their cushion. This is bad news for a 30# box that might be phyically handled/thrown 10 or 15 times over the course of 5 days.

These peanuts would work great if we were shipping light products like iThings, but they sure aren't designed for heavy flammable liquid products.

I taken them along with the box to the UPS store. They are happy for the free packing material.

In my experience, most 'green' products are worthless and a waste of money.

My thoughts exactly!
It just so happens that today I was talking with a guy (real nice guy) from "whatever they call the Canada EPA" and explaining how they are causing pollution using the 0-VOC reducer vs the good stuff and why. It was all factual and easy to understand, so that means nothing will happen.

Not to mention how much money it costs the shops to fight the 0-Voc reducers.

i've been saving peanuts and will send them to barry for christmas ......................

We used them to fill an interior of a car up to the roof. A friend got married and it's tradition (only in SD?) to mess with their car and house.
