A100 Twins

Better to aim high and miss than aim low and hit.

You’re doing a fine job. My lurking has paid off!

Last patch cut and epoxy primer drying on backside. Thought the rotted bed supports would be hard to get out but an air hammer made quick work of them. The replacements are from a van. Same part but in a van they are not exposed to the weather and rarely are rusted. Never had a torch to use in the past. Things can get out of hand quickly.

Why would you feel down about your work? You're doing fine.

Bad Chad is a mess, but I've gotten past it and its pure entertainment. He has his style and let me tell you, he's enjoying his career far more than I am mine!

I have a question....How much did you actually know about these trucks before this project started? I mean things like what parts are interchangeable from different models and such?

Or are you just learning as you come into things and researching as you go?

Not a thing. Same with each one. I think I enjoy the research, learning and meeting the people who are the experts in each model I end up doing.

Passengers side is RUST FREE. My conscience is likely partially disappointed in how I did it but at some point you have to say this is not a seven figure or even a six figure car and it’s time to trade metal work effort for bodywork effort. It is close but more importantly there is no rust and the filler required is not out of line with a quality job. Just need to finish stripping the box side and then let it down and finish welding the inner panel lip and then the floor extension.

I know its hot with your protective gear on, but I've traveled a lot in the southwest, and I know that a dew point of 30 in Arizona is no comparison to the dew point of 77 in Houston with the same temperature. Those guys are suffering through some hard times with this current heat wave.

Agreed. 20% humidity.
