Well after about 5 years and with help from my two brothers and all the good folks here on SPI, I've just about completed my car. Car was painted with ProSpray base and SPI Universal Clear, epoxy and high build. Its not perfect, but I am very pleased with it. I couldn't have done it without all the help I got from everyone here. Thanks Barry and Chad for excellent products.

This is the very first restoration I've ever done and only the second car I've painted. Chevelle 1.jpg

Looks like late 70's early 80's Vette wheels. Nice look on the Chevelle.

Thanks for all the compliments guys, i really appreciate it. Yes they are corvette wheels from the 80's. I wanted something different and of course they were FREE, woohooo. I really like the looks of them.

Again thanks from everyone who encouraged me and gave me so much advice. I don't know of any other forum that so freely gives professional advice.

Keep up the good work everyone.
Glenn.

I sure did Bob, was a little intimidated by it at first, but i've been getting a lot of other restoration information on the Chevelles.com forums. A lot of hotrodding guys there.

Again thanks for all the compliments.

I really like that car, you did a great job. On a 1-10 scale how would you rate the difficulty of doing that top? Oh and is it a stick or auto?

I would say installing the top for me was probably a 6. I made sure it was lined up properly and taped down the loose side. Then applied about 2 ft. of glue at a time, long ways front to back. Take your time, it worked out better than i thought.

Oh its a 4 speed, Super T-10 (AS9). The 454 was dynoed by the engine builder at a little over 500 hp with 490 ft.lbs torque. I have a few things to do in the engine compartment is why i didn't take pics of it.
