Could not agree more! If you like driving sixties rag joint steering with a steel buggy spring in the rear, knock yourself out! The all originals are for auto museums. If you like the original timeless styling which has never been reproduced AND you think your sweetie is going to go riding with you on Sunday, you need to look at modern suspension, electronic ignition and Vintage Air!!! LOL's!!!I see so many posts on Chevelle, el Camino forums and Facebook groups "will it hurt the value of my car if I do something not factory?"
Drives me a little crazy. Unless you have a numbers matching very special and rare model, do your thing. It's your car.
If you are worried about resale, just do it tastefully and do it well.
And watch the auctions for where the money is.
