As I near the bodywork phase of my restoration, I've got a few questions about 2K:
1) Per the tech sheet, I can go straight from 2K to base/clear? Is this one of those exceptions that's okay for collision work, but for a restoration it would be preferred to shoot a coat of reduced epoxy? I like being able to wet sand 2K with 600 so I know that there is not trash underneath or any frogeyes or any kind of texture, so I'd like to stick with 2K prior to base/clear if possible.
2) What should I sand epoxy to prior to 2K (assuming outside the 7-day window)?
3) What should I sand body filler to prior to 2K?
I'm having all of my panels stripped and then starting with 2 coats of unreduced epoxy, then filler and 2K.
