2K Reg Build Questions

As I near the bodywork phase of my restoration, I've got a few questions about 2K:

1) Per the tech sheet, I can go straight from 2K to base/clear? Is this one of those exceptions that's okay for collision work, but for a restoration it would be preferred to shoot a coat of reduced epoxy? I like being able to wet sand 2K with 600 so I know that there is not trash underneath or any frogeyes or any kind of texture, so I'd like to stick with 2K prior to base/clear if possible.

2) What should I sand epoxy to prior to 2K (assuming outside the 7-day window)?

3) What should I sand body filler to prior to 2K?

I'm having all of my panels stripped and then starting with 2 coats of unreduced epoxy, then filler and 2K.

1--- I prefer epoxy sealer but over 2k is done all the time
2-- I use 220 but I believe some go as much as 180..I would go no higher than 320
3-- I sand everything to 220 before proceeding...until wet sand

I'm sure you'll see a lot of opinions.

What I do, which is based most likely on something I read on here.

1. Always best to spray reduced epoxy over the 2k. Reduce 50 percent and there won't be any texture to worry about.

2. If I have something out of the 7 day in epoxy I sand with 180-320/maroon scuff pad and then spray 1 coat of epoxy before the next step.

3. 180 to 220, but then I at minimum spot epoxy over the filler. Otherwise I usually will give 1 coat of epoxy to the panel and then next day spray 2k
