2K High Build vs Turbo Primer

Im getting ready to shoot two coats of SPI 2k High Build with the wait time in between. Once I have bare metal covered with epoxy, then two coats of 2k High Build, can I stop until Spring time and then do my blocking? The truck will be kept in a heated garage.

If I did not have months to wait for my high build to cure, would the Turbo Primer (4 days cure time) be a better choice than 2k High build (days curing time)?

No cure time is about a 2 day difference at best. Either will work just fine.

Are there any cons to the turbo as compared to the high build?

Thanks Barry. I thought I read somewhere the high build could take a lot longer. So I can wait a couple days and start blocking out the high build, then seal with epoxy and wait indefinitely to re apply another coat of epoxy (after scuffing) and go right to b/c?

I'm sure you meant it, but after waiting indefinitely you have to sand that last coat of epoxy. If I am going to let epoxy sit like that, I like to put two coats on so there won't be a bunch of sand-throughs, which will happen if the one coat of epoxy is sanded well.

What if I just wait with the epoxy and stop at the blocking of the high build?
