Barry, any news on the reformulated HS 2.1? Is it ready and if so any feed back on it yet? I hope to get some on my next order.

Got my first news last night on it.

Shop in Hattiesburg, MS sprayed a blazer allover and temp was 104 in booth.
Did not have to rush and said it looked dipped.

Other shop in Mobile, AL shot side of something? yesterday and used slow at 95 degrees in booth and slammed two coats with a 5 minute flash, second coat flashed in about 18 minutes. Perfect although they did get two runs.

Makes sense, my flash time was reading 12 minutes for first coat in the 90 degree range.

So far 2 for 2, its a winner but verdict still out.

Caution is in order as far as activators, here is what I did.

Fast activator will equal Turbo clear with fast activator and fast reducer, very fast (105 gel time) in other words and to be used only on small items at 65 or warmer.

The medium activator is set up to dry same as the 4000 with the 4001-1.
(305 gel time)

The slow is extreme and most extreme I have, so as it cools the shops will need to blend the slow with the normal to accommodate the conditions they are spraying in.
(650 gel time)

I wanted a clear that would cure at 40 degrees and also could be sprayed at 120 degrees on an all over, price to be paid for this is the shop will need to learn the activators.

It's good to see you taking care of those in California. Or am I out of touch, would there be a good reason to try this clear in places with little regulation ?

Maybe better to stick with the normal Universal...

Do the math, 10 minutes slower but higher solids, so not sure the trade off.
It would be close though but no promises.
