Looks like a mirror. The only thing I don't like about black is that it is very hard to keep it clean, especially here in Arizona.
The word you were looking for is impossible.

Once the sealer was done it was time for the black single stage. I sprayed five coats in one session with my Iwata LPH400 LV 1.4. Urethane retarder in the last coat. Little more peel than I usually get but no significant wave as near as I can tell so far. I forgot how much work it is to cut and buff this black single stage. It takes a lot more effort than Universal. It didn’t help that I pushed it out into the sun for a day. I cut it with 1000 yellow, 1500 Tolex, 2500 Buflex, 8000 Trizact on a DA. No hard blocking clear for Donny……. I used the interface pads recommended by Jim C. They are firmer than the 3M pads, I like them. Pics below are as sprayed and after compounding with ACA 510 on their yellow wool pad. I did a quick second pass of compound with their spider cut purple foam pad. It’s grippy and pretty aggressive. May give it a third pass before polishing with 520.
Yes SPI. I have used it on several builds. Please clarify if the Black Single Stage used was SPI .................or ?????
Just wanted to see how it would turn out.Don, I was rereading the beginning of this thread and you stated you sprayed 5 coats. Was that just so you had enough material to cut it down or is there another reason. Thanks.
I’m pretty sure you do…That’s incredible, Don! Wished I had your skills and knowledge.
I’m pretty sure you do
I’m done with full builds for customers. Too much stress. Kevin does a great job finishing these painted rollers. Better than I can.Nice, he should have let you finish it.
We all do.I need a Kevin!
