1967 Camaro

I still wonder how you find time for sleep Chad! Nice work.
I like your rotisserie, what make is it? How does it wheel around? Can you post up some more pics, so I may copy it? Maybe in the tool section, so this thread stays on topic? I will be building one this year and still haven't decided on a design.
thanks Chad!

Sleep? what is that? Lol..

It's a whirly jig. It works pretty good, It has 2 wheels that go on the back and i put a hitch on the front and pull it around with the truck.

Been out for motor transformation.. I like it.

no side marker holes in the fenders? looks like it's fitting up nicely.

Fenders to doors are pretty rough fitting, he put the fenders on though so i know it'll need some aligning.
Don't think he's running any markers, in fact if I remember correctly he had ones with marker holes and sent back.

Shop is packed so haven't been able to progress on this as I have hoped, but we managed to get a few things done.
Had some rough lines, so a little clean up work was in order!

See, if that's what it takes to get Taiwan sheetmetal to fit you can just leave me out of it. I'm gonna save these pics for a guy I'm doing a '68 for right now. He was all upset because I spent about 10 hours apiece to fix up some original fenders for him. I spent even more on the doors, but they won't need slicing and dicing to fit decently.

I gotta admire you for just digging right into it though. Looks like you are really gonna make it nice!

Piece of cake, doesn't take that much time to make the panels fit, now just a little welding and grinding and good to go.

Is the area that looks like fish eyes actually pits in the base metal ?

Ya no pits on new steel!! Not a pick hammer but a punch that needs to be smoothed back out.. lol.

The poor fit on the bottom of the fender where it meets the rocker is also common on a lot of the G.M. fenders, it's like some were jigged different during welding. How is rocker length on this one?-I've seen 1/4" differences in rocker lengths and that can really throw things off.

it was 1/4" to long, but we did tighten the door up from what it was some and also the fender, so that made the rocker fit even worse.

We ended up rolling it down as well, one of the few pieces we didn't replace, and it fits the worse. Almost wish we would have put that rocker on while we were there. The other side got a new rocker and fits great.

A lot of progress has been made on this one since last post.
I believe we are pretty much finished with this one. Off to cali for owner to assemble and do some mechanical work.
