1963 Corvette Convertible Restomod

You hear about these shipping containers falling off ships and sinking offshore. Maybe this 63 spend some time in the ocean....:disturbed:

I realized after I posted the comment on the nut-plate that another function for that channel is to drain the water from the convertible top deck surround...it goes into that channel from two holes then out to the sides of the wheel wells. So, my guess goes back to salt air...this car must have been right next to the Ocean at some point.

corvette's have always been the favorite for jet jocky's . they spend a lot of time on the beach and setting on base exposed. add to that the number of cars that lived in the northeast and it's a common problem.

Just when i thought I was finally finished battling with rust on this car....

I ordered a new rear deck, but who knows when that will be made and shipped. Until then, things are on hold.

The SRIII chassis with c6 suspension for the convertible will be picked up next week. I went with Z06 Calipers on this one. Are they necessary, absolutely not, but people seem to think bigger is better, so why not go with more bling!?!
