1.3 or 1.5 fluid tip for epoxy

I use a Devilbiss FLG4 with 1.8 and 2.2 tips for regular, high build primers and poly primers. I've been using my basecoat gun (Techna) to shoot epoxy (most often mixed 1:1) because the tech sheet suggests a 1.4 tip and I use the black epoxy as a finish coat for most underhood components, firewalls, inner fenders, etc and am concerned using the 1.8 tip would put out too much product and not give the best finish that I am looking for.
The additional tips available for this FLG4 are 1.3 or 1.5. Which do you suggest for SPI epoxy?

Barry, is it acceptable to use a 1.8 tip (Sagola) for SPI epoxy?

I use a 1.8 tip all of the time with the epoxy, but this is not when using it as a sealer. When I use it as a sealer I use my 1.4 Geo gun.

You might want to throttle the material a bit with the 1.8 depending on your spray style, and as Chad says it will not give as nice a finish as a smaller tip.

sagola 3300 pro?? the 1.8 squirts barrys epoxy unreduced great.also if ya bump up the pressure a little she'll lay out really nice
