Yes Ms.Spears, I did it again!!!! Lol

its too early for 320 and 400 grit on this project. need to go back to the 80/180 stage. need to get it flat. i wouldnt worry about the little bare metal showing on the wheel well lip or edge of the body line. you can take care of thos in the epoxy sealer stage. but you want to get that long quarter panel flat as possible. thats what you are going to see the most when the car is done. IMO.

fender looks like it has holes for side molding, quarter panel doesnt. perhaps the holes were welded up for the side trim, or , quarter replaced. i had the same issue on a car they welded up the side trim holes and the quarter was pretty wavy....

Yes fender has holes, door and quarter panels had metal studs that they ground off and roughly!!! Lol

Looking at the bare metal, it now appears the stretching was due to someone using a disc grinder to remove the paint. Any media blasting that may have been done in addition could have added to the issue if that was done incorrectly. Looking at the grinder marks, there was quite a bit of incorrectly. :( Looks like some shrinking is in order to remove some of the waves.
It’s almost a crime!!!This car was restored in 1990ish. The guy passed away before finishing the car. It sat in the wife’s heated garage for 31 years. Then sold to the guy I bought it from . Here is pictures of before restoration, after restoration when sold fresh out of storage, and then how I got it!!!!!!

What’s your goal? Diver quality? Show quality? Learning?
I’m not looking for a museum piece but I take a lot of pride in my work and want to stand back and admire it instead of leaning up against it to hide it!!! Lol
