not sure on their price. didn't see a price in the link . i have used these for over 30 years. i use toilet paper in them so i can replace it daily in my booth when painting. it is my last line of defense to oil vapors and moisture. about 125 .00 . have seen them much less .

Oops, here is the link. Do you think these would do well in a low use situation like mine to remove moisture? I do have a small filter/drier at my gun as well. The parts you linked are more for filtration or does the TP do well on controlling water?

notice the oil with it. that is a set up for air tools. i use the cartridge filers but just use tp instead. the cartridges are only 12 dollars each. i'm looking at a deal to buy the cartridges in bulk. as for the ball filter on your gun toss it . it gets in the way , last about 60 seconds and i have seen them split open . they also restrict air volume. use a good trap and filter right before your hose and keep the hose off the ground unless using it . i have a hanger mounted at about 7 ft. only takes 3 coils to get 50 ft off the ground.

Yeah that's why I hesitated, I saw that oil and was like hmmm.. I'll look closer at the link you gave. I used these yesterday when shooting, one seemed to last almost the entire shoot. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200319833_200319833. But they aren't cheap, using a lot of those would easily pay for a good trap/filter.

Oh I meant to say, that Northern Tools gun is so much better than that HF POS!

Thank you for all your help.

northern is a step up from hf. the vaper gun i bough a few years ago is still going strong.

I just picked up a deal on MotorGuard filter. Use any kind of TP?

the cheapest you can find. the better it is the softer and looser the paper. you want the cheapo stuff like you find at mcdonalds. also the motor guard is ok but it will corrode after time . there is a higher quality one made but cost about 125 .

I just brush and scotchbrite mine out every 6 months or so...hose it out and blow dry....good to go 10 yrs now... Kit runs 70 something with 2 filters... or used to

Mine came with what I thought was black powder coat but it came off of the inside pretty quick say....2 yrs. So I don't know what it was.

yeah, mine are so old they are grey. just cheap something or other. when i get new ones i'll put about 3 good coats of epoxy on them before i install.
