doing my first restore on an old fairlane and was going to paint it spi red. now i am re-thinking the spi red. i wish i had saved the original paint on this car because i am really liking the "survivor" look. i am leaning towards building a thunderbolt clone but i dont want it to look better than new. i want it to appear to have a little age. i have the car in spi black epoxy right now but i thought about shoting it with white and then lettering the car and sanding through some of the lettering to give it a little bit of a faded look. since the spi white epoxy has no uv, will it get chalky? will it have a weathered look due to no uv? do you think i could achieve an old look with it or do i need to just use a white base with matt clear?
