White Block and Heads

KAC

I want to paint the block, heads, and oil pan on my 23T to match the top that I'm spraying with SPI white base. Is there any way to pull this off and have it survive? The rest of the car is candy green. The pic is before I blew it apart.

Thanks,
Kevin

White block, heads and pan? Get rid of and paint on there especially spray can paint. Get it very clean, sand as much as possible with 80 grit and prime with epoxy. My choice would be single stage right on the epoxy while the epoxy is still fresh. How long? depends on if the epoxy is un-reduced/reduced and how many coats. Need to get the temperature of the metal up to at least 70 and keep it there for a good while after sprayed.

there are some high temp white paints out there, but we tried to use a high temp clear over aluminum heads and it was instant shart.
