Which clear

Ok, I am going to paint an 02' f350 du ally for a friend.... Ext only, "on the cheap" budget thing... It's a landscape truck he just wants to look decent..I have only shot the Universal on 4 cars now (high end).. Great stuff

So I have narrowed it down to "Production " or "Euro".. Shoot and deliver, no buff..so any direction would help...also going to go w Omani base... Cheapest I could find..color is L2 True blue...
Thanks

Either one is perfect, though the Production is easier to mix because it doesn't need to be reduced. If you have the right speed reducer on hand (probably 885), the Euro is going to be a bit cheaper on a per ounce basis.

The gloss level is going to depend more on you and your gun than any tiny difference in these clears. Either will be plenty shiny when shot well.

I have been using the Euro clear for some time now. It works best for me if I shoot it mixed 4:1 with no reducer. If you do reduce it I would use the least amount possible.
This is straight out of the gun:

Like the tech sheet says you spray it like you want it to look. I put the first coat down wet using a 1.4 tip and let flash until it doesn't string when touched. Second and third coat not quite as wet as the first or else you will get some runs.

Euro 4:1 with no reducer is pretty much a one coat clear with and insanely high solids content. '68, I think you are among the few that shoot it that way and I tip my hat to you for being able to achieve it.

Wow! He's the man for sure! lol

I tried reducing it once but had too many runs. Must be I just spray a lot slower than most?
I also found that reducing the air pressure on my Tekna Copper to 22 psi with trigger pulled worked better than the 26 psi I was using before.
