When to pull masking tape after Clear?

I remember shooting about a year ago - something ..but leaving the tape on too long. I shot two coats of Euro 2.1 ..and they look pretty good. Once cured, I might want to do one/two more.. but when should I pull the tape? Thanks.

I like to pull it as soon as I can. Sometimes just minutes after shooting it, if I'm doing a pull off. But for normal taping it's a good idea to pull it as soon as you can. The longer you wait the greater the chance that the tape will pull off paint in an area where it bridged.

Any time I clear to a tape line I put that tape on last after masking leaving a tail to grab
and I pull it off as soon as I finish the last coat of clear.
That lets the edge lay down more smoothly.

But be careful, I pulled the tape and it slipped and flopped over got the stripe color (black) on the base color (orange). Got to spray the entire side of the trunk lid again...... Newbie lesson #259....
