What's your pre paint prep procedure?

Thank you Chris,
On the data sheet for the Intercoat clear it says must be top coated in 24 hours. I'll "assume" that means top coat without sanding. Soooooo if I wait a few days, week, month etc all I would need to do to the intercoat is scuff sand, clean real good then shoot base and clear?

All went well for me guys thanks for all the help...now for the cut and buff :)
