What's your favorite body filler and glazing putty, and best price's???

It's really too bad what happened to the Marson Platinum in price after 3M took hold of it. I remember my first gallon I bought it was almost half the price of a gallon of Rage.

I was using Evercoat Easy Sand for glazing putty, but as Rusty said, it dries out quickly in the bottle, and for over $40 for a bottle it hurts when you have to pitch it. My latest bottle of glazing putty has been Finishmaster Smart putty as mentioned. As far as I can tell it's just like the Evercoat; the guy at the counter didn't know who made it. All I really use it for is sanding out runs, because when you suck like me you get lots of runs :)

If I got an imperfection in filler or pinholes, the Marson was creamy enough that I could just skim another coat and it would fill imperfections in the filler.

All that being said, I'm just a garage monkey enthusiast, so my opinion is worth about as much as you paid for it.
 
This has been my goto filler lately due to price and ease of sanding. Like I said I mix in a little putty and haven't had one pinhole issue.

This evercoat edge is really nice also but damn is it pricey. I think it was over $60 for this gallon. Stupid for something that is gonna most end up on the floor.


That smart lightweight filler was on sale for like $17 so I just snagged it up for s backup. I'll try it on the next job.
