What type of cleaner recommended for Matte clear finish

I sprayed my truck with SPI Matte clear this summer. I was told I can not use any of the traditional cleaners (Mist and Shine ect...) or wax to wipe off any dust on the finish. What do people recommend to clean a Matte finish paint job? I see Wizards sells a product called Matte Wipes; anybody use this product yet?

We sent out about 500 of the wizards Matte finish wipe down with gallons of Matte Black, it work perfect and in my book only to use on those finishes as a lot of them have been destroyed using different items to clean.

Barry, what is your opinion on Wizard products in general? They are nearby and my job can get them direct for a good price.

I hope I'm not stealing the thread, but it seemed like the question was answered!

I know the Wizrds stuff is good, but I've been using Sprayway glass cleaner and a soft cloth, it seems to do the job. Whatever you do, don't use anything that will leave a residue, anything with silicone or wax will cause problems.

Great; I will buy a few spray bottles of the Wizards Matte wipes.............Thanks

They have been around a long time and I have used a few things over the years and never have heard a bad thing about them.

i used their newest compound and polish. they sent me some samples prob 2 years ago when it came out. both were great. the compound is very similar to 3m's perfect-it compound. if i had to put a # on it i would say it was about 10% better. now the problem is that the cost of it was double that of 3m. 3m is already nuts with the cost of their stuff so for another company to be double 3m cost..they are off their rocker. its good but it aint that good. seems like the wizards stuff is not really geared for professionals. its more for the car owner. you goto a car or bike show, wizards is set up there and you dont really mind paying the $20 for the 4oz bottle of wonder polish type thing. good products....yes. for professional shops that buy by the gallon and use everyday...no.

My cost on 3 buffing pads, 3 polishes, and a backing plate was $90 :) Just used some today but I'm far from good enough to know the difference...

I agree with JIM C.. It all seems to be decent stuff but not the cheapest.. I'm set up with them and even at cost it's a little high IMO.. I do really like their shine master polish and mist and shine though. Works really well in a car show environment for a quick polish.. I use before and at shows but not so much in the shop.
