What kind of metal filler ?

So I'd like to do the mod in the follow pic. Blend in the side scoop on my '69 Mustang so there is no seam/gap. I may also try it on few other places. So I'm seeing what the preferred material or method is to do this. Also if it would be appropriate to use the same material for the roof to rear quarter seam instead of melted metal method ?

I did my quarter extensions and headlight buckets and Shelby brake scoops on my 69. I used 3m panel bond after the parts were mated well, then filler to smooth/blend the transition. You will need a 3m automix gun with the panel bond.the roof to quarter seam I melted all the lead out then made a filler panel and welded in then smoothed everything over with filler there as well.

BTW, the panel bond is bare steel to bare steel, and when I mounted all my pieces to the body I still used all the factory fasteners.
