Well its Painted!!

P

Panelwagon62

After two years of on and off working on this truck i finally got some paint on it. the truck is a 63 dodge town wagon. I blasted everything top to bottom, inside and out. The colors are HOK PBC 32 and DBC black, then three coats of universal clear, wet sanded then shadowing and pinstriping then cleared again. After blasting everything was shot in two coats epoxy then the body work started. The body was finished off in epoxy only. The truck belongs to my father in law, it was painted to match his Safari baby belle helicoptor. Its now sitting at the upholstery shop getting a full leather black and orange interior put in. I learned ALOT from this forum and all the experienced people on here including Barry, thanks for answering all my calls haha. :) IMG_0191.jpg

Very cool! I don't think I've ever seen one of those till now.

Thank you. Yeah honestly its not a really popular truck, which Is one of the best parts. The frame is a 92 dodge truck sectioned 17 inches. That wasn't performed by me, I just did the body and paint.

That's kewl. great job on the paint. Looking forward seeing it all together

Thanks, trucks at the upholster shop now, might be a little while before the two are together lol.

dont laugh. i just pulled one from a shop after 8 months of bs .last three upholstery shops i have tried all hosed me.

thats rough. this is my first time dealing with this shop. My father in law picked him out, seems to do pretty nice work guess we will see. Although i wouldn't mind a few months away from it lol, got to many projects and not enough time! Funny story about this truck, i remember seeing it for sale years ago then one day it went missing. I met my girlfriend (now wife) and when i started doing work for her dad i saw the truck. Never thought i would be the lucky one to work on it. Crazy how things work out like that.
