Very old epoxy primer

I have a qt of gray epoxy unopened and a qt of activator unopened that is many years past the current shelf life suggested. Being that I hate to waste things I have decided to try out this old stuff. I stirred up the epoxy and mixed in the activator, which is a dark brown. It seemed to mix up ok. After letting the mix sit for 15 minutes there is some small brown rings, like maybe the activator didnt totally mix with the epoxy, sitting on top. I stirred it up again and shot the inside of some body panels and brackets that will never see the light of day. It sprayed out fine and laid down with no issues. My question now is how can I tell if it is no good? Will it blister, bubble up or peel off? Is there some test I can do?
