Using SPI Flattening Agent

O

Overspray

…. has anyone else experienced random intermittent tiny air bubbles forming in a cured single stage urethane flattened paint after spraying and sometimes appearing randomly while spraying ? Has only occurred when using the SPI flattening agent but not all the time. So this is puzzling. I like the product and the high quality consistency of it but the tiny air bubbles that do form have me complexed. No it is not from my gun, compressor, filters, lines or air manifold, valves or nozzles or moisture. This phenomenon occurs only when using the flattening agent and occurs regardless of the percentage of agent mixed in. Thought it may be how I mixed it. Have gotten it either way when I have just either stirred mixed it only or when I have shaken then stirred to mix. I always add the flattening agent after mixing all components. I am using a single stage urethane at a 4:1:2 mix ratio … They do not pop and are not eyes or craters or pin pops.
