Using epoxy primer for surfacing?

My body is pretty straight wherever there was dings,dents i hammer dollied them and used my uni-spotter stud gun.I used thin filler coats and applied 3 coats white epoxy.Can i go to a different color epoxy rather than using 2K.I know SHINE uses this methoid and this epoxy sands so NIIIIIIICE! Thanks
 
Absolutely. That is what I do it work great for a guide coat. When I have it where I'm happy and it no longer needs blocking, I will then do a final thin coat of Epoxy to make it one uniform color before painting.
