using epoxy as a sealer

I used epoxy as a sealer before base coat. i reduced it 1:1:1 per directions and shot it. when it went on it went on wet with high gloss. As it dried its gloss lessened. Is the decrease is gloss because of using reducer? Its less glossy than spraying epoxy unreduced. Just curious if I did something wrong.
 
Awesome so everything looks great then! Quick wet sand with 600 and then I am ready for my base! Sweet
 
Careful with that 600. That 50% reduction makes for a pretty thin coat! All I ever do when it's reduced that way is hit dust specks real quick and that is all.
 
yeah i did 2 coats of reduced epoxy to be safe being as i had it blocked out to 320. i am just going to go lightly with the 600 just make sure no sand scratches show through.
