I have an older set of rims that I'm sick of polishing. Anyone ever clear over polished aluminum and if so, what kind of prep?
It will work but question is how long.
I have a test panel I did a year to year and a half ago and it is holding up great BUT if it fell off next week, it would not shock me.
I buffed by hand with cutting compound and cleaned real good, sprayed one coat of 600 activated 5:1 then cleared 15 minutes later.

Thanks Barry. 600 adhesion promoter first. They're track rims, so I'm not real fussy about them. It just seems like the damn things are always foggy. I may just give it a shot.
