SW ultra 7000 base?

Travis,

I sprayed Ultra 7 for years & was a rep for them for 6 years after that. As with any new product it will take a few weeks to adjust to the line you are using. Just be aware of how you are applying it & take your time until you get a better fell for it. With metalics lowering your air pressure & laying down a drop coat when coverage is achieved will help to even them out. For blend areas you can put a wet bed down of s65 & s65 can also be used in your basecoat to fade out the blend if you wish. Usually used with high pigment colour like white but can also be usefull in some tricky metallics or pearl colous. s65 may be called something else where you are. That was the part # here in Canada. Using hardener in your basecoat will also help with metallic control, adhesion, durability, & solvent resistant.

I am a big supporter of color blender as a wet bed and mixed into the base after I get coverage fading out as stated....esp in the silver and golds....I use DBC500 color blender.
No complaints here on anything S/W. BTW I like Dimension stuff and it lasted longer than the factory clear on my daily driver....Go figure.

Skimmer, if you like DBC500 you'd like SPI intercoat and it's a heck of a lot more cost effective.

Another thing you'll notice with the SPI intercoat is it goes further than DBC, you'll have to reduce it more to get the same ready to spray viscosity as DBC. 1-1.5 at least. JMO...
