I used an aluminum cup on my lph400 for the first time today. It sprayed so much better than with the PPS cup. FYI: if you have an old style SATA cup, it fits perfectly.

I spray with aluminum or PPS-style cups on my LPH400 interchangeably and I do not see any difference. The only difference you see might be due to venting.

I use pps and have for 10+ years. I will try the aluminum cup one of these days to see. I think I have a good lid for the cups.

I know when the pps get low they start to choke the gun. I have always wondered if they were slowing the gun because there is no vent.

If I used my sata's more I would switch to the rps cups.

Venting would be the only difference I could see. Maybe like trying to pour gas from a can with the vent closed lol.

That is why I use the Sata RPS cups. They have a positive vent.

I purchased the DeKups because I needed to spray upside down in a couple of areas. Kept using them for a while and then recently I had a small amount of paint to spray and put my aluminum cup back on. I too noticed the difference and have kept the cup on ever since.
