Sprayway cleaner

I heard lots of guys talking about Sprayway glass cleaner, so I ordered some.
Price is decent, case of six, 19 ounce spray cans, was $24 on Amazon.

Wow! Good stuff. I had been doing a few rounds of solvent WG cleaner for sanding dust etc.
Now just clean with Sprayway (squeaky clean first time) and then quick WG wipe before paint.

I like it!

But, man it's got some funk! Smells terrible.
Guess it is the "Cod Liver Oil theory," "anything that smells this bad must work miracles."

Did you get a scented variety? Mine smells good.
Think it is the standard stuff

Never use this as a significant cleaner; the last cleaning is not hurting; nothing if cleaning steps 2 or 3.
If someone has to sand a panel of fresh base and all they have is 700, then I will say steal a glass cleaner from the wife for the base, but the 700 could attack the base, so dont use it.

700 is powerful stuff. I only use it on bare metal. 710 for everything else right before paint.

I had a rep from Sprayway get back to me today to say that there is no unscented version of Sprayway. So listings that say so are in error.

Old lady smell of today is nothing compared to the old lady smell of the past. I had a great Aunt named Ursel. She lived in Enid Oklahoma. We visited her once when I was 5. She was ancient. Had to have been 85+. Still drove her 4 door 57 Chevy though. This was around 1977. I was 5 or 6. That whole house had the horrible stuffy old lady smell. Never will forget it.

That paints a picture, and not a pleasant one, lol.
