I chose SPI because I wanted the quality... and ISN"T Big Money.

dont know the concept but i have shot a few ss high dollar blacks. the nicest ss i have shot in any color is glasurit 22 line and if that is a 10 then i would give the spi a solid 9. its is really nice stuff.

In what way?
Barry, will i need to add reducer?or mix 4.1 straight?im doing a black car that needs to be color sanded flat as can be..i need minnum of 4 coats..should i get a quart of clear and mix 50/50 on the last coat?

I would just mix 4:1 and do your four coats and sand and buff.
I think that is how Rusty does it.

I still have the old single stage and I mix it 1:1 with no clear than wet sand and buff.
can the new ss be mixed 1:1?

Rusty skips final coat at 50/50 SS/clear? Was wondering how it would wet sand with only one coat containing clear.

sanding is basically the same with or without clear mixed in-but the single stage cures a little bit slower because of the pigment. The best way IMO if you're going to add clear is shoot a few coats of straight color-at least one coat more than full coverage. Sand/scuff it and then shoot three more with clear added. This will give you plenty of material for sanding and buffing and good consistency.
