Speed clear vs production/polar?

Just curious about any pros and cons of either? Production could be speedy with the right hardner and polar correct? What would be pushing it? I suppose the speed clear is fairly self explanatory as it's made for speed. I look forward to your thoughts, thanks!

You're correct to a point BUT you would be adding a lot of potential problems making the production clear that fast, a big list and if you did make it that fast it would loose
Durability and increase stone chipping potential.

Very good question!!

Ok gotcha, thanks for the reply. I wouldn't want to make any large sacrifices. How quick/how much polar could you get away with while still maintaining durability?

4 0z to a mixed quart would be pretty safe but not if raining or high humidity.

What kind of speed are we looking at? Say 2oz/qt...vs 4oz/qt...with a medium activator? Just trying to get an idea of what can be expected time wise. Thanks!

I agree, I probably will just to try out and have on hand. But it's really only good for just that...where as production can be used to do many more panels if needed. Was just curious how quick I could get production clear out the door with out making any large sacrifices.

I have never tested your questions to give you a proper answer.
But I have talked to painters that said they used 2oz, 4 oz and indicated the car was delivered in 2 hours.
A lot of factors are involved for net results.

Speed is good for 5 panels. That doesn't mean that's all you can do. That just means in order to get the second coat on before it starts tacking up. Be creative with your spraying and you could do a complete.

Thanks for your replies guys. I've been doing this quite some time so I understand there are a ton of variables to give a solid answer. I'll prob expirement with both. Luckily I have my own work with salvage rebuilds and auction cars I can test on before I throw it on a customers car. Thanks again!
