some basic questions from a beginner

(this is the third time i've tried to post this, once it logged me off, once it disappeared....)

I am now using HOK kd3000 primer / sealer. good stuff but pricey. It can serve all purposes depending on how it's mixed. Does the SPI product work the same way?

What is it about Nason base that you guys hate? Or how is more expensive base better? Is it more than just the amount of pigment?

I'm using uni clear on a motorcycle. Is it mandatory to cure parts in the sun? We don't get a lot this time of year and I can't leave someones tank sitting outside if I'm not home. Can I just let it sit a day in the shop then sand and buff or recoat without problems?

thanks

The KD primer should be very close to the SPI 6400 series sealer.
The sun is not mandatory, however tow pointers for wet-sanding and re-clearing fresh clear.
After cleaning not a bad idea to let the wax and grease remover set an hour after drying to make sure all solvents are out of the fresh clear sand scratches.
Next most important give exactly 30 minutes between coats of clear for flash time to dissipate the solvent from the fresh clear.

I will let the other guys discuss the Nason with you.
