So about those universal filters in the spray gun...

Do you guys use them? If so, do you pop them out after every use to clean? How long do they typically last?

Reason I'm asking was that I left the filter in and just sprayed cleaner through the gun after I'm finished...well it ended up clogged after several uses.
 
ditch it, strain your product and you don't need the little filter, clean the fluid passage of the gun well after each use and there won't be problems
