Slicksand question

Are you guys covering the whole panel with Slicksand or are you spotting it in the areas you need it? How are you using it in complete restorations?

I’m a hack but I cover the whole panel. Most of it comes off when blocking the panel.

I tend to think the whole purpose of slicksand is to level out large panels or areas. Otherwise filler or regular primer surfacer would seem more logical.

Think of it like a easier way to get an even coat of 2K glaze on large areas. All the high areas will come off when you block sand it. Tape off recesses, edges or any hard to sand out areas before you apply it.

I have actually been covering the whole car with it. I was just wondering how everyone else uses it.

Entire panels. Almost never an entire vehicle, only problem panels. We use far more epoxy than any other primer.
