i can no longer read the label on the can lol i sprayed 4 coats today and want to spray a few more tomorrow. can i just spray or do i have to scuff?
thanks

polyester, when it kicks is locked up tight. once its hard it needs to be sanded. something on the coarse side. 150-220.

thanks Jim!
i just got a new roll of 120 grit. ill start blocking tomorrow. heck I may not even need any more coats :)

another question. what should i block the slick sand down to before i apply my final coats of epoxy? right now im at a nice and smooth 220 grit. also if i should finish the slick sand down to 400 grit and bare metal spots start showing before that, do i keep going or do i re coat?
thank you!!

It depends on what the surface looks and feels like. Personally, I like to remove as much primer as possible, so if there are small metal spots or areas of previous coatings just barely beginning to show all over the panel, that is about done. At that point the film thickness is doing its job and no more, filling low areas with very little excess.

220 is fine enough for final epoxy if there will be more wet sanding, if you want to seal and paint, 320 or finer is best, in my opinion. Sometimes 220 grit scratches can use a rubdown with red scotchbrite to knock down any raised scratches.
