The moment i've been anxious to get to.
It wont fit in the booth to where I can actually walk around it so it's going in the front shop for paint.. probably cleaner up there anyways, only drawback is the lack of lighting, but hey I painted with just one bulb on the ceiling before, I can make this work.. lol..
I hope so to, I've had my fill of working on it too..
To be honest I spent months searching for a dodge diesel, and in this year range, 4x4, quad cab, they are still getting 12-15k around here, and a lot of them had twice the mileage of this one. So when I came across this with under 100k in miles and I could finish it for about half the money and have it the way I wanted it, i bit the bullet and set myself up for a bit of work. but when done I think it will be worth it. If i figured my labor, sure i'd have that much into it, but it's a good thing I don't have to pay myself, and I also feel if i do decide to sell I can get that back.
Hopefully no surprises come up when I get it on the road.
That layout is nice and clean-looks excellent IMO! Chad, when you're doing these complete repaints like this have you ever sprayed down the flame color first? It does save some masking and also sets it up well for shooting shadows after the main color is on. It looks reallly clean in the pics.
looks great i would choke to death in my place trying to paint that monster. i once did a 1 ton 4 door dually in a 24x 32 garage with wood heat. 10 below zero out. i had 2 service doors wide open and it was still 80 degrees in there when i finished. i was using centari. looked awesome but highly dangerous.
