Shelf life of mixed base

I was wondering what the shelf life of mixed base coat is? Have a couple of ounces of spi red base leftover that was reduced 1:1 with slow spi reducer and activated with slow universal clear activator. Was hoping to use them and reduce waste.
Thanks for any help you can offer! The people on this site are priceless. I don't remember ever being helped by group of people that are this modest. It feels like I have been helped by everybody on this site in one way or another. The information flows so freely and egos rarely rear their ugly heads. Thank you all!

I would not use any leftover activated basecoat. It is activated therefore you have a limited pot life. I would be surprised if your leftover base isn't relatively solid (meaning not liquid) when you open the can.

Thanks for the help, Chris. That makes sense, I will toss it out then. If it was a new batch that I mixed up, could you use it say, the next day if it was still liquid? On the same subject; I am going to activate all my base coats, but wonder how long after mixing base coat with reducer only and not activating, can I still use it? So basically same question of shelf life but the activator was omitted in mixing the base.

I can only speak from experience, this may not be what you are "supposed" to do but I have used several year old reduced (but not activated) basecoat. Never really had a problem with it. SPI I don't know how long it will last but I can confidently say you could use reduced basecoat that was several weeks to a couple of months old with no issues whatsoever. Next day would be absolutely no issues. I usually only activate what I know I'm going to spray in that session. Any that remains gets tossed.

Awesome, that is the exact information I was looking for! Thanks a lot, Chris!
