Sanding epoxy before spraying bedliner

T

TXLiquid

I am going to spray a bumper with SPI epoxy and then I plan to paint it the next day with Al's Liner bedliner spray.

Do I need to scuff the epoxy before spraying the bedliner?

From what I understand I shouldn't have to but if I did would it provide better adhesion?

Thank you

I got some of the Als too TX. If you are in the 7 day window of the epoxy, you should not have to scuff. Back when I used Barrys Bedliner, I was well within the seven day window of the epoxy, but I still scuffed the epoxy with a maroon pad. Never really asked anyone if I should but my thinking it dont get any better than making the chemical bond window and adding a mecahanical bond as extra insurance. Please let us know how the Als Bedliner goes. Did you get the big hopper gun to spray it on?
