Sand thru primer

K

Kroozen

If I was working in a high paced production new car dealership and sanded threw the 2K primer to bare metal, small spot size of dime or smaller, on a collision repair can I get away with hitting it again with 2K primer or should I epoxy it first? Etch primer? What would you do?

If it is normal production work, every shop does it different and really either way is fine, your choice.
If its a high end or restoration use only the epoxy.

Most production shops would just shoot sealer and paint and not worry about a small cut through. And if you're using epoxy as a sealer there's no worries.
