Re-pop Fender Seam Fill

I need advice on how to fill a new 47-53 Chevy truck front fender seam. It isn't on the oem. Polyester filler or weld? I've never done either before. I'm worried the filler will crack, but I don't probably don't have the skills to weld it. Recommendations?

For something like that I use a carbon fiber reinforced filler called Carbo Fil made by SEM followed by a final coat of regular filler.

If it's like some of the truck fenders I've used it has a lapped edge and may require a bit more work that simply filling the seam. Although I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

My assumption is that seam is already spot welded. If not, ignore my suggestion....

Don you're correct. It was spot welded in China.
