pvc for air

Thanks SOF, I remembered the thread from when I first joined and I just thought the first person experience was worth reporting... I ordered a motor gaurd m60 and will epoxy it upon arrival as per "Porchdog's" advice elsewhere.

Did you take any pictures ?

SOF No, Shine Yes.. I vac'ed up the mess right away and that got rid of the small chunks. I looked at the main body and it let go at the glue joint so I have to own operator error despite my careful assembly.

Shine I can hear you laughing (At or With I can't quite make out) but I suffer from a bad case of " I can make it" syndrome which is how I wound up here in the first place... I can restore that truck!

(Non-Political disclaimer: I don't believe I do it ALL by myself because that would negate all the help and knowledge I get from here that makes it possible for me to claim "I built that") :devilish:

now i understand . 1/2 sch40 or 80 is all i will trust . worked in a van shop in the 70's . they had a long run of 4" across the ceiling of the building. thinking it would make up for compressor size. well it let go one morning and a piece went through the crapper wall . needless to say someone was rudely interrupted and not happy.

Through the wall, eh? I looked for signs of damage like that on the sheet rock of the exterior wall or the metal cabinet it was mounted on but I think the blast was somewhat directional (My direction) from where the main body landed under the truck. Luckily the "Ag-Bag" (Heavy duty farm bags for bio fuel/methane production) wall hangs from the ceiling there and it absorbed the energy like a softer crash barrier. Still the boom was more bomb from the sound of it and I'm sure why the neighbor came running... I'm gonna crank my tank psi down a ways next I think. Like you said 90 psi is enough.

i'm running copper this time. expensive but will be final. that and barry has me convinced i need 100+ at the wall. but i doubt i paint more than one a year from now on , if that much .

Just make sure you paint it white so it looks like pvc to the Meth Heads!

Glad no one was hurt or worse.
As I told once before, I was in the hospital in 1974 and the guy in the other bed darn near lost both legs when his home made air tank exploded. He used an old hot water tank and did not put a pressure relief valve in the system!
