Hello ALL - Newbie Here - Your Assistance will be GREATLY Appreciated.
Looking for some priming & blocking guidance.
Working on a 1978 Corvette repaint - thus the substrate is SMC.
The original GM paint & primer were completely removed.
The original exterior body seam adhesive was ground out & replaced with Evercoat 870 Vette Adhesive /Filler.
The photo shown has 2-Coats of SPI Black Epoxy 3-Coats of Featherfill G2.
The panel is now very straight - BUT does have the sand through areas to substrate SMC.
(NOTE: The sand through areas have the blue-tape triangles on them - $.25 for size gauge.)
QUESTION:
Do I need to lay another coat of SPI Epoxy?
Reduced or Regular viscosity?
Next layer would be 2K or should I lay another round of FeatherFill G2? (Again it is NOW very straight)
Again ThanK YOU ALL EVER SO MUCH.
