Primer or Glaze?

3M bought them out Rusty and my jobber complained and said it had been changed.. I havent bought any if probably 2 years or longer.. I just dont use glaze. I did however go to buy some Rage Gold the other day.. It had been over 2 yrs since I bought any of it and they wanted $45.. I said never mind lol
 
They still sell both versions of Platinum 1131 is gold which is thicker and 1171 is thinner and can be used as a glaze. My local jobber sold me the 1131 I used to have a jobber come by and he had the 1171 on his truck. When I called the local jobber he sent the 1131 next time I will ask for 1171.

i havent noticed any difference since 3m bought them. hope it stays that way. probably wont...just like the mequiars diamond cut. I swear since 3m bought them, they changed the diamond cut...not nearly as good.

When the Diamond Cut was orange in color it was good, then I bought some and it was white in color and did not feel as gritty. I thought it didnt do as good of a job and did not buy anymore after that.. I used Diamond cut for many years and liked it..

The M105 gets all the rave
 
the 105 is great stuff. i just sand and buffed a 78 vette last night. did 1000, 1500, 3000 compound and polish in 5.5 hours. i think thats a personal record for doing a whole car. for me, 3m's system is the fastest yet and for the time it takes gives me the best finish. i can get a better finish hardblocking the clear of course but then to get that extra 10% it turns it into a 3 day process. that only worth it for a select few high end projects.
